Castle life was different than our life today. Few guards patrolled the outside wall. The castle was quiet most of the year but when the lord and lady came to town, the castle was busy and loud. It sounds pretty boring to live in the castle. All quarters were shared with family members, except for the lord. He had a room to him self or with his wife (Sounds pretty greedy to me). The inside of the castle is alot different than you would expect; the interior is damp, dark, and smoky. Some of the nicer interiors were painted and colorful carpets and tapestries hagging from the walls. All together it sounds like the castle was kinda boring.
Also some life was different than the others. Some families were workers inside the castle, and some were rich or had wealth and didn't have to do much work. Some families had nice rooms and some had small or dirty rooms that couldn't fit very many people in the room. I would hope to be wealthy so I could have a nice, big room to have all to myself.
